How does the escrow system work?

When you join a match, your SOL is locked in a program-controlled escrow account on Solana. The funds cannot be withdrawn by anyone - they are only released through winner payout, match cancellation, or a 6-hour timeout refund.

Is there a house edge?

No. RektBet charges a flat 5% fee on matches but does not compete against players. The house wallet is explicitly blocked from joining matches. Players compete against other players only.
